Best laid plans of mice and cats

Well, we traveled for one long day to someplace called Tacoma, WA. We've been in a motel for three days, stuffed in a small room with one window! We want to get back home to our RV. But alas, it has some problems: A new hot water heater and toilet are happening at the moment. It took days to get permission from the warranty company to do the work, but it is being done now. Plans are to be back in our home tonight! Just in time too. . .

Dad's sons are coming in this afternoon for a big bike-ride down the coast. We all go to the airport later this afternoon to pick them up. Hope those loud planes stay way above us!

Time for Rest

Well, we have been six nights in a place called Pullman, Washington. It's been lovely! We sat in the windows and looked out, ate good food, had many cat-naps, and played with our toys. No driving!!

Mom and Dad left each morning to visit dad's cousin and husband and explore the area (who wants to do that when they can sleep?) They came home each evening talking about Indian Museums, good restaurants, nice walks in the forest, taking pictures that they'll enjoy for years to come, and even gem hunting.

We like it when we stay somewhere a while. It makes life easier for us and happier *S*

West Coast here we come!

"VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGINIA, KENTUCKY, INDIANA, ILLINOIS, IOWA, MINNESOTA, SOUTH DAKOTA, WYOMING, MONTANA AND IDAHO.

Wow, what a whirl wind we've had. Eleven states and over 2500 miles to end up in a place near a lake. . .Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. we got everyone here safely. We are in a lovely campground in the center of the city. Should be nice. On another note. . .

While in Bozeman, MT, Mom and Dad came back one night talking about dinosaurs! We were concerned until we heard the words, Museum of the Rockies. Apparently there were lots of bones there; something the dog would have enjoyed.

All this excitement has left us both tired. It's lots of work to get the family across the country safely! But one can always depend on cats!! Loca kept up a constant dialogue to keep everyone entertained, and Taz made sure we were following her directions and driving safely. Ah, cats work is never done. But then again, it is time for a nap!!

Cat's work is never done!

Well friends, we have been busy. From Virginia Beach to Louisville, to Iowa City to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, we have traveled many miles in the past 11 days. Sometimes we sit for days and lounge on the couch looking out the windows. And other days we travel by truck. On those days, I usually help Dad drive because, well, you know, he is only a human after all.

With my help, we have arrived safely and in style. Lots of interesting scenery: Beach, forests, farm land, rivers, streams and more farm land! We encountered a strong headwind today that shook our home and the truck. I slowed the truck down to reduce the drag, but it took longer to get to our destination. It was the right decision, and Dad agreed with me.

Tonight, Loca and are are sleeping well. It's tiring driving and keeping the family happy. Time for bed!

We didn't get a vote!!! May 2011

Dear Friends,

Would you believe it? They didn't even ask our opinion or give us a vote!! They simply packed us in a truck and headed out with this BIG thing following us very closely behind. We miss our window, our backyard trees and the noises we have come to love. Sighhhhh

Mom and Dad tell us it will be fine and we will have many adventures as we travel; but we're not so sure about that.

More another time. We are trying to find the litter box in this place. I has to be here somewhere!
